Welcome to my new website. Late last year, I had
such a big chunk of vision loss from my retinitis pigmentosa (RP)
and Usher syndrome that I thought I couldn't do my mosaics anymore.
Then, I woke up one morning with a vision of a piece I just had to
do. After I finished that piece, I did another. And another and
another. And I'm still doing them!
I cannot explain this creative surge, but I
can and will ride it. I leave it up to the Universe to figure out
what to do with all the mosaics and how I am going to do them in the
first place with the vision I've got left. And here we are.
I dedicate half the proceeds of all sales and
commissions I make on this site through the end of July, 2009, to
the Foundation Fighting Blindness. The FFB’s urgent mission is to
drive the research that will discover treatments, preventions, and
cures for the entire spectrum of retinal diseases, including
retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration, and Usher syndrome. My
local Sacramento, California, FFB chapter VisionWalk will be held on
May 30th this year, and I hope you'll support it:
