Mary is dedicating half of the proceeds from all sales and commissions through the end of July, 2009, to the Foundation Fighting Blindness. The FFB’s urgent mission is to drive the research that will discover treatments, preventions, and cures for the entire spectrum of retinal diseases, including retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration, and Usher syndrome. Thanks for your support!

DragonRoses

2009. 16 x 16, Stained glass and glass media on concrete board.

One of the rare all-glass mosaics I've made to date, and one of the most difficult I've ever grouted, as the roses are three-dimensional. This mosaic is best displayed in an easel as a table-top piece. (Photo by Nora Devane)

$750

Flamingo

2009. 12 x 12, Ceramic tile, porcelain figurine and glass globs on wood.

One of my all-time favorite and fun pieces. (Photo by Nora Devane)

Spring Pink Time

2009. 12 x 12, Stained glass, ceramic tile and mixed media on concrete board.

Yes, that’s a real watch in there that Andy found somewhere; the flowers are made out of a ceramic belt buckle, a cafeteria-style plate rim, a glass bead suncatcher, and ceramic tile. (Photo by Nora Devane)

Mystic Heart

2009. 12 x 12 , Stained glass, china, ceramic tile and glass globs on concrete board.

This piece is an example of how breaking up plates for one piece ends up starting a new piece, and even another, so that I sometimes have three or four pieces going at once on my worktable. (Photo by Nora Devane)

$300

Electric Garden

2009. 12 x 12, Stained glass, glass globs, costume jewelry and miscellaneous hardware on concrete board.

Andy let me have a few really cool hardware pieces from his warehouse, that he later told me were electrical fittings. I just wanted to see what I could do with these, along with a bunch of nails, nuts, bolts and screws. (Photo by Nora Devane)

$300

Night Blizzard Garden

2009. 12 x 12, Stained glass, glass globs, and miscellaneous hardware on wood.

Another exercise with miscellaneous hardware. (Photo by Nora Devane)

Green Butterfly

2008. China and glass on wood. 24”w x 18”h

The plates needed a butterfly in their pastel borders, so they made one.

Shrieking Tree

2007. Glass on wood. 12”h x 9”w mosaic in 16”h x 13”w frame.

We all need one. (Photo by Nora Devane)

Sun Goddess

2006. Ceramic tile, china and glass on wood. 24” x 24”

Every now and then I see dishes in fabulous colors, and the urge to smash them up and make them into a mosaic is irresistible. When I found these plates, Sun Goddess beamed. (Photo by Nora Devane)

HeartTree

2006. 20” diameter round. Mixed media on wood.

Another piece that got me through long summer hot-flashing nights. (Photo by Nora Devane)

RainTree

2006. 31 inches by 20 inches. Glass and stone on wood.

This tree with new green leaves standing in a cold misty drizzle of early spring rain got me through many long sleepless hot-flashing nights one summer. (Photo by Nora Devane)

Moon Portrait

2005. 16 inches square, Ceramic tile, pottery, mirrors and glass on wood.

The expression on her face changes. (Photo by Nora Devane)
